Inanimate holiday foods don't talk to me very often...
...but when they do....
They do it through email.
Last year it was the turkey (terrible grammar)
This year it was the gravy.
I learned these types of emails from a guy named Ian Stanley. Very successful email marketer, copywriter, and standup comic. He introduced this idea to me. You change the 'from name' in the email to the product you're promoting....in this case....it said 'From: your thanksgiving gravy."
You don't see that very often.
So when you do...you're more likely to click and read....and hopefully buy.
I wrote this one for an old business I used to work for. They never sent it out. It was more of a sample...which they didn't find funny I imagine.

Hey, this is your Thanksgiving gravy.
I’m writing to you from the future. I know that sounds weird but I have something to tell you.
For you I’m the gravy you make on thanksgiving. I just looked at your friends and family's faces after they tried me and saw the most magnificent thing.
My consistency is perfect. My taste was the talk of the dinner. Even your teenage son smiled after he tried me. Cooking me was easy this thanksgiving. And it didn’t take so much time and energy to make me this year. I can’t believe what I’m seeing.
It’s still the same old you in the kitchen but it barely looks like you because you’ve changed SOOO much.
You’re not running around trying to multitask 6 different things in the kitchen this year.
If you look down right now you may notice a long thanksgiving dinner grocery list... or you’re dreading all the shopping you’re gonna have to do.
One part of your thanksgiving dinner is completely taken care of now.
The great tasting gravy is noticeably different this year and I’ve been getting compliments from all your friends and family. I feel like I’m finally not a headache on thanksgiving day.
What blows me away most of all is how enjoyable the whole morning was.
