He's scared.
But I can't see your face...so I don't know if you are too.
Not that you should be...
Unless you're not eating enough fruit.
Seriously.
I don't think enough people eat fruit. Actually, I'm sure of it (if you believe big brained human beings who read books and stuff)
The USDA said 90% of Americans don't eat enough fruit. Take what you want from that number...but even if they're wrong by say....20% (which is a lot)....that still means 70% of Americans don't eat enough fruit.
Holy guacamole (great way to get some fruit into your diet by the way)
But I don't know...maybe you're not in that 70% -90%...maybe you do eat a lot of fruit. That's good, congrats to you.
But if you don't...here's a little unsolicited fruit hack for ya'.
Fruit smoothies in the morning; 1 banana, 1 cup of frozen mixed fruit and 1 sliced apple (with milk or water or soy milk...whatver floats your boat)
Anyways...here's an email explaining this prevalent lack of fruit eating and a solution to it (no it's not a smoothie...it's far tastier)

Subject line: THIS happens when you don’t eat enough fruit…
Everyone wants to be healthy.
Yet how many of us take the steps to insure this?
A wise man once told me something that’s stuck with me for a long time...
“You are what you eat.”
Okay maybe he wasn’t wise...and maybe I didn’t hear it from a man.
And it’s not every day I use cliches...but this one is pretty spot on.
Whatever you put into your body becomes the building blocks of your growth and regeneration. Meaning, eat like crap ----> feel like crap.
You know this already.
But...do you know what happens when you don't eat enough fruit?
Or how much fruit men and women with big brains recommend you to eat?
Well...according to the CDC 90% of Americans don’t eat enough fruit.
Yikes.
This number is staggering.
And below are some ailments of a diet lacking fruit…
Weight gain
Constipation and digestion problems
Increase in blood pressure
Diabetes risk
Greater risk of heart disease
At higher risk of depression / mental illness
That’s scary stuff...and 90% of Americans are potentially putting themselves at risk.
Luckily...the USDA only recommends adults eat 2 servings of fruit per day to stay safe…
While the AHA (American Heart Association) recommends adults eat 4-5 servings of fruit per day.
This isn’t much. But I do understand how fitting it into your diet can be a problem.
You’re busy, life happens and you have responsibilities (kids, dogs, friends, family members, husbands, wives)...
We live in a “go-go-go society”...and taking the time to shop and prepare fruits can be a hassle…not to mention all the time, money and effort it takes to fit a new food into your diet.
But here’s the deal.
One package of my dried fruit medley comes with 3 servings of fruit.
That’s enough for the USDA and one serving away for the AHA.
Plus...each package is easy to slip into your purse, backpack or pocket. You can fit 3 servings of fruit into your diet virtually anywhere and it doesn’t require any time to shop or prep.
And I’d tell you they taste great but you already know that.
