Well, if you're lucky you'll just end up like this plastered party panda.
But you could end up a lot worse.
Like at your friends parents house naked on their living room sofa.
But this actually has nothing to do with that.
This apex of guilty pleasures for the weekend warrior types has something in common with overeating.
And what might that be?
Well, it's in the nature of the two vices.
They're both short-term pleasures that act as an off-brand bandage to temporarily mask discomfort in lieu of true resolutions.
But hey...i'm not gonna sit here and lecture you on my virtue...I like to hydrate from time-to-time.
But I understand when i'm using it as a temporary escape instead of solving the real problem at hand.
I think the same can be said of overeating.
I don't think it's a reach to claim that most humans want to be healthy. And eating large amounts of junk doesn't equate to healthy-ness.
But people still do.
Even when they know this won't help them become healthy.
Even when they know what they really want is to lose weight.
Even when they know it's not the right thing to do.
And the same can be said about getting absolutely shit-faced with your friends the night before a big final.
But the priniciple still stands.
So why do people still act against their true desires?
Well, you can do it the hard way and ask Tony Robbins...
Or the easy way...
And just read my email.

Subject line: Oh no you’re craving carbs...read THIS
Bad news...I’m not giving you the o-kay to have a cheat meal.
But, I am going to give you something way more valuable than a loaf of bread.
It’ll taste better too ;)
If you often struggle to resist carbs then you’re gonna love this.
It’s a weird little psychology tactic called neuro associative conditioning.
It helps you link pain to activities you want to stop doing. And instead, to link pleasure to things you want to do.
I know...it sounds intimidating. But hear me out...
For example...If you’re on the keto diet (which I’m guessing you are, or know someone who is!) neuro associative training can help you link pain to things like eating carbs, not exercising, or cheating on your diet. And it’ll help you link pleasure to things like sticking to your diet, exercising, and eating keto friendly foods.
Now before I go any deeper I want you to know this idea comes from a quiet and shy little guy named Tony Robbins…
If you know who Tony Robbins is you know he’s anything but quiet, shy, or little.
(he has more energy than an entire DMV staff)
He talks about neuro associative training in his book “Awaken The Giant Within”. If you like reading or you’re just looking for a good book to read next...I recommend you check it out.
Anyways…
It’s so easy to cheat on your diet. It’s so easy to go for the pancakes instead of the plain greek yogurt..
This is because you associate pleasure with eating pancakes. I mean, who doesn’t...pancakes taste amazing.
But, what sounds more amazing?
Pancakes.
Or…
Losing 20lbs.
Looking 10 years younger.
Feeling 15 years younger.
Regaining your old confidence.
Walking into your office and turning heads.
Your family double-taking as you walk in the kitchen.
Friends asking what diet you’re on because they want your results.
Having the energy to go out dancing, hiking or jogging on the weekends.
Discovering a new hobby.
Not recognizing who’s looking back at you in the mirror.
The answer is obvious…
So, why still go for the pancakes?
Good question.
Because it’s a short-term pleasure that outweighs long-term pleasures.
See, humans are conditioned to seek out pleasures. More specifically...short-term pleasures.
Why do you think sugary food is so irresistible?
Because it’s quick, short-term energy...that tastes great.
Humans over indulge with these foods even when we know they’re not good for us in the long run.
Insert neuro associative conditioning…
The next time you reach for pancakes, french toast, bread, pasta...you name it. Instead of thinking how great it’s going to taste...think about the pain you’ll feel when you haven’t made any progress on your health and body.
Think about the pain of destroying the progress you’ve made so far….and think about the pain of starting from day -zero- ALL OVER AGAIN.
And instead...think about the pleasures of losing weight, feeling healthy, looking younger, having more energy, impressing your family and friends, and overall well being you WILL feel if you stay true to keto…and associate these feelings with turning down the pancakes!
Short-term pleasures never lead to long-term success.
Think about it…
Every crutch. Every bad habit. Every vice...is a short-term pleasure that you know doesn’t help you in the long run…
It’s an impatient option that gives short and fleeting pleasure... in place of sustainable, long-lasting accomplishment and joy.
Okay. Rant over. That's enough hard teaching for today. I think you get the point.
And I want you to know that I don’t think this is easy…
I don’t say this to you as if it’s some walk in the park.
It takes repeated practice that one day morphs into a habit.
But if looking and feeling great is something you truly want...I know you can do it.
Plus, if you feel like a cheat day you know where to find me.
